The best wines of South Tyrol in Maretsch Castle, Bozen
It is about to happen again. The most renowned South Tyrolean wineries are going to present their exquisite nectars during the traditional Bozen Wine Tasting, a festival organized by the town council and the Bozen Tourism Board, in partnership with Slow Food. Outstanding is the presence of St. Magdalener in the exhibition: 25 producers are going to represent St. Magdalener wines.
After the success of last year’s edition, the event has been extended for an additional day. This year the 95th edition of the Bozen Wine Tasting takes place from Thursday, March 15th until Sunday, March 18th.
The tiny but precious exhibition is addressed both to wine experts and to wine lovers. However, the attractive framework program will definitely be able to intrigue the curious visitors as well. Alongside the wine tasting, which prominently features a selection of more than 170 wine labels, the event offers interesting seminars and workshops as well. The program is even more enriched by the collaboration between Slow Food and the Wine Tasting Restaurant by Oskar Geier, who will spoil the audience with delicious cuisine paired with the perfect wine, while traditional South Tyrolean products will constitute a further cornerstone.
The four-day program features also a guided vertical tasting of some rarities with Giorgio Grai and three seminars with Daniele Cernilli, alias Doctor Wine, related to Vernatsch, Lagrein and top South Tyrolean white wines.
